The Ministry of Sustainability & Climate Resiliency has launched an exciting new initiative to raise awareness about climate change in the Cayman Islands. The Climate & Energy Challenge, which runs from September 2 to October 13, 2024, invites all residents to participate and learn how they can contribute to a more sustainable future.
What is the Climate & Energy Challenge?
The Challenge is designed to educate and engage the public on the pressing issues of climate change and energy use. It features a calendar packed with links to informative videos, engaging activities, and instructions that make learning about climate change both fun and informative. The final day of the calendar features a quiz that challenges participants’ knowledge, and those who score 10 points or more will be entered into a random prize giveaway.
Categories for Everyone
Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, or university student, there’s a category in the Challenge for you.
Minister for Sustainability & Climate Resiliency, Hon. Katherine Ebanks-Wilks, expressed her enthusiasm for this initiative, saying, “I hope this Challenge will encourage the public to participate and to consider opportunities for building up their own resiliency to climate impacts.”
